rules & regulations

General

​

1.    Stride for Good 2024 (referred to as the "Event") is organised by Bethesda CARE Centre (BCARE) (referred to as the "Organisers"). Participation in the Event constitutes acceptance of and agreement to comply with the Event's Rules and Regulations as stipulated by the Organisers.

2.    By submitting the application to participate in the Event, each individual named in the online form (referred to as a "Participant") acknowledges having read and understood these Rules and Regulations. Participants confirm their agreement to abide by these Rules and Regulations and grant consent to the Organisers to collect, use, and disclose their personal data for the purpose of Event registration and subsequent communications.

3.    Participants must provide accurate, current, and complete information during online registration. BCARE reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Participant's registration if any provided information is found to be untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete. The Organisers may contact Participants via email, SMS, and/or phone call regarding the Event.

​

4.    The Event is open to the general public. Participants aged 12 and below must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the Event. For safety reasons, unaccompanied children may be asked to leave the Event along with their parents/guardians.

​

5.    The Organisers are not liable for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.

​

6.    The Organisers reserve the right to modify, amend, delete, or add to these Rules and Regulations at any time, at their sole discretion and without prior notice.

​

7.    The Organisers reserve the right to cancel or modify any aspect of the Event at any time without prior notice to Participants. Reasonable efforts will be made to inform Participants of such changes before the Event date. The Organisers shall not be liable for any consequential loss or inconvenience resulting from such cancellation or modification.

Health and Safety

​

1.    Participants acknowledge and accept that they participate in the Event at their own risk. The Organisers, sponsors, and appointed officials shall not be held liable for any death, injury, loss, or damage suffered or incurred, however caused.

​

2.    The Organiser reserves the right, without liability, to take appropriate actions deemed necessary for the safety of all Participants.

​

3.    Participants are strongly advised to undergo a medical examination and/or consult a medical professional before registering for and participating in the Event, ensuring their mental and physical fitness to participate. By participating, Participants confirm to the Organisers that they are physically capable of completing the Event without medical assistance.

​

4.    For safety reasons, Participants are advised to follow designated routes and adhere to safe distancing and traffic regulations during the Event.

Disclaimers

​

1.    Participation in the Event is at the Participant's own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser, its officers, staff, volunteers, agents, contractors, Event officials, sponsors, and partners shall not be liable for any death, bodily injury, property damage, or any other loss or damage, direct or indirect, that Participants may suffer or incur in connection with the Event, their participation, goods/services provided, computer result anomalies, or technical malfunctions.

2.    The Organiser assumes no liability or responsibility for goods and/or services offered or provided by third parties in connection with the Event. Such goods and services are provided by third parties independently, and no agency relationship exists between the Organiser and such third parties regarding the Event. Disputes regarding such goods and services must be resolved directly with the relevant third party. Third-party suppliers may impose conditions for the redemption of goods or services.
